The age of 24 hour a day surveillance of everyone in our land is not too far away according to Julian Assange, "The NSA and GCHQ will soon have the ability to spy on the entire planet, as their capabilities double every 18 months". This seems kind of scary that such a capability is even possible. This is when the word privacy becomes a myth and nothing anyone does will be private, and things we do not want the world know will be available for people who maybe we would not like to know it. No man or institution can consider themselves to be "god" or above the law, and the NSA along with other such organisation. I go off on the premiss that man is naturally good, and that people are actually naturally innocent and that the spying of predominately innocent people is wrong and immoral. Somehow they have the premiss that they are justified in spying on the populace. Does this seem right that we use the advances in our technology for greed and the general spying of the general populace. Not only this but the NSA wants to end freedom of speech which is the first amendment? So people who are in charge don't need to apply to the law? The people upholding our laws don't even have to abide by them? Is this what our world has come to? That people are divided by government, the people who we vote for handicap us by taking away our laws from us. And just how effective is this?? are they really protecting us??
an with all these violations of Privacy what do they achieve???
The answer is nothing, they spy on innocent people but they don't catch the bad guys! What is up with that?
Why are they spying on us in excess and STILL not getting the bad guys?
Don't claim to be doing your job by spying on people and then don't do it well.
If your gonna break the law and spy on people, spy on the right ones!
